From Henry Selick, director of Coraline and The Nightmare Before Christmas, comes this giddy, freewheeling adaptation of Roald Dahl’s beloved children’s classic.

Combining live action and stop-motion animation to bring Dahl’s irresistible vision to life, it follows James (Paul Terry), a young orphan living with two ghastly aunts Sponge and Spiker (Joanna Lumley and Miriam Margolyes) who one day, discovers a gigantic peach in their back garden. If that weren’t enough, it’s also inhabited by magical, life-size anthropomorphic bugs (voiced by Simon Callow, David Thewlis and Susan Sarandon amongst others). When the peach is cut and rolls into the sea, together James and the bugs – who quickly become his dearest friends and allies – embark on a wild and wondrous adventure across the Atlantic.
