We are delighted to announce the release of our Summer Cinema Brochure for June and July, offering a vibrant mix of films for all ages and tastes. This season brings exciting new features, such as the debut of Kids Club, which are family-focused film screenings for young film enthusiasts. Additionally, we invite you to join us for a Midsummer Mystery Film screening, promising to add an element of surprise to your cinematic adventure!
The new Cinema Guide is packed with a diverse selection of films, ranging from blockbuster hits with Oscar-nominated stars to timeless classics and engaging documentaries. Film lovers can look forward to:
Family Favourites: Including the latest animated adventures such as Inside Out 2 and Despicable Me 4, and beloved classics perfect for a family outing.
Event Cinema & Exhibitions on Screen: Showcasing world-class theatre, opera, music and dance – such as Andrea Chenier - Royal Opera House and André Rieu’s 2024 Maastricht Concert: Power of Love.
Documentaries: Offering thought-provoking films that provide fresh perspectives and engaging stories such as Big Banana Feet and Made in England: Powell & Pressburger.
Midsummer Mystery Film: Specially selected by our programmers, get ready for a nostalgic summery surprise on Thursday 27th June – you won’t find out what the film is until the lights go down. Early booking is recommended.
We are also thrilled to introduce Kids Club; an exciting new initiative designed to inspire and entertain our youngest audience. At Kids Club, adults pay kids' prices for an unforgettable cinematic experience. Tickets are just £5 for everyone, and remember, all adults must be accompanied by a child. Don’t forget to pick up a free loyalty card from the box office on your next visit. It’s just for our young movie buffs! Get it stamped each time you come in for Kids Club screenings and enjoy free popcorn on your third visit, along with a free ticket on your sixth visit.
Upcoming Kids Club Films
We also welcome back local film fanatic Ben Reynolds for Cinema Speak – a post-screening discussion after the film. This is a chance for audiences to have an informal chat about their reactions to the film over a drink in The Gallery, as well as an exciting opportunity to see independent and international films not often found locally. It's free to attend; just turn up after the film! All Cinema Speak screenings are subtitled, including English language films.
We also offer accessible screenings, including relaxed, captioned, and subtitled screenings.
The new cinema guide is available for download HERE, or free printed copies can be collected from the venue. Kids Club loyalty cards are also available from the Box Office.
