Keeping Warm January 14th-25th
Our experiences of keeping warm at home might seem ordinary or unremarkable. However, they connect deeply personal concerns like care, love, health, family, control, security and safety, with far-reaching political, social, cultural, technological and environmental change.
‘Keeping Warm’ shares oral history stories gathered in Stamford and Rotherham, South Yorkshire, and artworks made in response by Becky Shaw.
‘Keeping Warm’ invites you to join us and share your heating stories in informal discussions and workshops.
‘Keeping Warm’ is part of the research project Justheat: Looking backwards to move forwards, a social and cultural history of home heating’ https://www.shu.ac.uk/centre-regional-economic-social-research/projects/all-projects/looking-back-to-move-forward-justheat
