Present day, industrial north Wales: put-upon Helen (Louise Brealey) spends her nights packing chickens and her days caring for dying mother-figure Gwen (Sorcha Cusack). Her mundane world is turned upside down by the return of her former crush Joanne (Annabel Scholey). As they start to fall for each other, Helen’s zest for life returns – but Joanne feels the walls close in as she begins to face her past.

Combining elaborate, whimsical musical sequences with social realism, Chuck Chuck Baby is a crowd-pleasing, heartwarming story about choosing love and leaving the past behind, featuring songs by Neil Diamond, Janis Ian, Minnie Riperton and more.
