Welcome to Stamford Youth Theatre

 

BRAND NEW FOR SEPT 2017

Stamford Youth Theatre is now in partnership with Wildcats Theatre School!  This means there will be even more opportunities for Stamford's young people to enjoy performing and to develop their acting skills!

JUNIOR SYT: For ages 7-11 Saturdays 1pm - 2.30pm

ELF - THE MUSICAL

Saturday 9 September to 16 December – no class 28 October

This fun group will work towards productions which take place in the theatre.

The next production will be the story of Buddy the Elf in ‘Elf Junior’ on the 22nd December. With acting and group songs this is an ideal musical to introduce children to the theatre.

INTERMEDIATE SYT: For ages 11-16 Mondays 5.30pm - 7pm 

Monday 11 September to 18 December – no class 23 October

Acting based class working towards LAMDA Acting examinations (not compulsory).

This group will also be working towards a performance on 21st December.

Intermediate SYT also have the chance to gain experience backstage with Junior shows.

SENIOR SYT (SSYT)

For ages 15-22 Mondays 7-9pm

Monday 11 September to 18 December – no class 23 October

Our Senior Youth Theatre will be working towards performances throughout the year.  Working with director, Darren O’Sullivan the group will develop a number of pieces throughout the term. Performances will be announced as term commences based on the group and the direction in which they wish to go. Large and small scale performances along with the option to take Bronze. Silver or Gold LAMDA Acting / Verse and Prose for those who wish.  

Senior SYT also have the opportunity to be involved in the production side of Intermediate and Junior shows, gaining experience not only on the stage but backstage too.
